Prystene tankless hot water heater descaler
Instructions for use:
1. Turn off power supply: Switch off the circuit breaker or unplug power cord to the water heater. Turn off gas supply valve.
2. Shut off water supply: Close both hot and cold main water valves leading to and from the heater.
3. Prepare Prystene descaling solution: Fill a 5-gallon bucket with 3 gallons of water, then add the full container of PRYSTENE descaler. For best results use warm water
4. Connect pump hoses: Attach a hose from the cold water bypass inlet to the pump, and another hose from the hot water bypass outlet back to the bucket. Submerge the pump into the solution.
5. Open bypass valves: Open the cold water bypass inlet and hot bypass outlet valves on the water heater.
6. Flush the system: Turn on the pump to circulate Prystene descaling solution for about 45 minutes.
7. Rinse system and dispose of prystene descaling solution: Stop pump, dispose of solution and fill bucket with 3 gallons fresh water. Run for another 15 minutes. Prystene descaler is biodegradable made from natural ingredients. Simply pour down any drain, septic system safe.
8. Reconnect system: Disconnect both hoses. Close both hot and cold water bypass valves. Slowly open cold, the slowly open hot main valves.
9. Restore normal operation: Switch on breaker and plug in power cord. Turn on gas supply valve. Check for leaks and proper operation following all manufacturer’s instructions.
